Oriya Besara with drumstick and potatoes
  1. To begin, wash and remove the skin of the baby potatoes
  2. Wash the drumsticks and cut them into pieces of 2 inches each
  3. Soak mustard seeds, dry red chillies, garlic and jeera in 1/4 cup of water
  4. Grind this soaked mixture into a smooth paste ( i like the taste of the masalas, so i made a coarse paste)
  5. In a kadai heat oil, add the panch phoran masala and on low flame let the mustard splutter
  6. Add the peeled potatoes, with some water and turmeric. Let the potatoes cook for a couple of minutes
  7. Now add the drumstick and the ground masalas along with the reminder of water and let them cook for a while.
  8. Add salt according to your taste and mix the sabzi well
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and Serve hot with rice and dhal
